My Grandmother used to say “Taza Khao, Swath Raho - Eat fresh, stay fresh.” She used to eat fresh homemade food and made sure for us to follow the same rules. She had a strong belief that fresh food makes our hearts healthy and keeps us cheerful. As teenagers, we didn’t appreciate her wise words, but as we grew up we realized how profound her advice was. Eating healthy is something that makes your soul and heart happy, you don’t realize that but, your mood depends on your health. For some keeping health in a good state is difficult and for some, it is just a matter of some habits. In this article, we’re going to explain the importance of healthy eating and how that keeps you healthy.

What is healthy eating?

When it comes to talking about healthy eating, people usually misinterpret it as eating raw or boiled food. Healthy eating is not about a strict diet as it seems or depriving yourself of the food you love. In fact, it’s about eating balanced meals with all the minerals and vitamins, that fulfill the requirements of your body and provide all essential nutrients that make you feel great, and energetic, improves your stamina, and stops your mood swings.

A strong immune system can fight and protect your body from infections, illnesses, and also from chronic diseases. Maintaining a healthy diet that includes Vitamin C, antioxidants, and zinc helps in boosting your body’s defense system just like border patrolling. With a healthy diet, maintaining your weight and sleep can also improve immunity.

Rich food that contains complexes like carbohydrates, lean proteins, and healthy fats provides steady and lasting energy, unlike sugary food. consuming sugar in excess can deplete your energy level.
