The drama is focused on the lives of Oh Ae-sun (IU) and Yang
Gwan-sik (Park Bo-Gum), a couple living in the countryside of Jeju Island, South
Korea. In the drama, Yang Gwan is an introvert who develops a strong character with a strong dedication to his family. He falls in love with Oh Ae-sun, an assertive
lady who aspires to be a future poet. They build a web of life from their
childhood, crafting it inch by inch, finding moments of happiness.

About the director
The drama director of When Life Gives You Tangerines, Kim Won-seok, is an Esteemed personality in the K-drama world. He previously directed many dramas including master piece like “Signal” and “My Mister”. This is his second work with IU, as she had previously worked in his directional drama “My Mister”.
