While sharing his thoughts in an interview with CNN, BIGBANG’s Taeyang said they were thankfully able to open doors for K-pop on global platform, as the interview aired many BTS fans (BTS army) reacted in opposition by saying BTS was the one who did that.
In the Interview Taeyang said, "Thankfully, we were able to open doors to global markets for many K-pop bands that came after us. And they can perform on world stages. I wouldn't say we presented that, but it feels great that our efforts have played a part in that."
